Class Descriptions
Introduction To Yoga: Is A Two Month Series Designed For Those People Who May Never Have Taken A Yoga Class And Will Feel More Comfortable Entering Asana Levels 1-2 With Some Basic Knowledge.
Asana: The Practice Of Various Physical Postures.
Asana Levels
- For beginners…..attend this level to learn essential movement theory and classic postures such as “mountain,” “simple twist,” “dog pose,” and “locust.”
- For continuing beginners…..this level emphasizes standing postures which develop strength and proper alignment. Supported poses are also included, as they allow one to bring attention to the breath.
- For intermediate students…..an introduction to deeper backbends, full inversions, and various seated forward bends and twists.
- For advanced practitioners…..to refine awareness of the physical practice through the Guidance of yama and niyama.
Pranayama: Breath Techniques Appropriate For Those With A Steady Asana Practice Of One Year Or More Where Inversions And Backbends Are Regularly Included.
Restoratives: Restorative Postures Induce The Relaxation Response By Calming The Nervous System.
Tibetan Buddhist Meditation And Study Group: Is Designed For The Beginner To Learn Calm Abiding Meditation And Introduce One To The Practices Of The Deity Of Compassion, Chenrezig, As Taught By The Very Venerable Lama Norlha Rinpoche With Personal Instruction By Lama Karma Chotso Who Visits Key West From Miami. Developing Your Home Practice: Learn how to create your own practice sessions; find the advantages of practicing at home; see how to start; and see how to support your ongoing routine.
Pilates: These Exercises Performed On The Mat Tone The Entire Body
Yoga Jam: Open to levels 2-4. Be self-led and group energized. There will be music to keep you moving, and a teacher on hand to answer questions and give adjustments, if desired. We close with a guided savasana.

Introduction To Yoga – $125.00/Two Months
Asana – $17.00/One Class, $13.00/Two Or More Classes Paid In Advance.
Attend When You Wish. Credits Do Not Expire. Credits Are Not Transferable Between Instructors.
Pranayama – $6.00/One Class
Restoratives Workshop – $35.00/ Three Hours
Yoga Jam – $6.00/One Class
Tibetan Buddhist Meditation…..Donations Are Welcome.
Private Asana Session – $65.00/One Hour Or $90.00/One Hour And A Half
Private Pilates Session – $65.00/One Hour
In The Case Of Financial Hardship, A Sliding Fee Scale Is Available For Public Classes.

Class Fees Include The Use Of Studio Mats And All Other Props. (Yoga Space Also Offers Mats, Props, Books, Caps And Tee Shirts For Purchase).

Off Street: Behind Studio After 4:00 Pm Weekdays And All Day On Weekends.

- Arrive With An Empty Stomach And Clean Feet.
- Avoid The Use Of Perfumes And Other Scented Products.
- Wear Loose, Comfortable Clothing.
- Note That Shoes Are Not Worn In The Studio. Upon Entering, Remove And Place Shoes In A Cubbyhole. Leave Shoes Off Until Ready To Depart.
- Before Class Remove Extraneous Jewelry, Including Watches.
- Advise The Instructor, Before Class, Of Any Recent Surgery Or Injury, Or Of Any Chronic Physical Complaint.
- Hydrate Before, During And After Class.
Note That The Studio Door Is Open 15 Minutes Before Class Begins.
As A Courtesy To Others, Be Prompt And Intend To Stay For The Duration Of Class.
